What’s Happening at the School
Friday, January 11
Basketball, jazz, and POMS promise to make this an exciting evening for Panther fans on campus and out of town. Four home games will feature the boys’ C, JV, and varsity teams (playing at 4 p.m., 5.30 p.m., and 8.30 p.m.) and the girls’ varsity team (playing at 7 p.m.) The Upper School jazz band and the POMS team will perform at halftime during the varsity boys’ game. Principia Internet Radio will broadcast the girls’ game.
Monday–Friday, January 14–18
The week before the national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we host the Original Traveling Black Inventions Museum exhibit. Walk through the Upper School lobby and learn about the contribution of African-American inventors and scientists to modern-day technologies—including traffic signals, electric lamps, and the Super Soaker.
Monday–Friday, January 14–18 and Monday–Thursday, January 21–24
Senior Speeches return to Ridgway! Be sure to come hear our students talk about some of their most memorable, formative, and humorous experiences. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry. You won’t be disappointed! Most sessions run from 6.30–7.30 p.m., except for Wednesday, January 16 (at noon) and Wednesday, January 23 (no speeches scheduled). On Tuesday, January 15, there is a 12.30 – 1.15 p.m. session, in addition to the evening presentations.
