What’s Happening at the School
Monday, November 5
Here’s your chance to take the night off from cooking and still enjoy a great meal!
Dine at Red Robin, 13001 Manchester Road in Des Peres, between 4:00 and 8:30 p.m., and the restaurant will donate 15% of proceeds to the PPA—but only if you present a copy of this flyer when ordering or paying. So print it out and get there early!
Friday and Saturday, November 16 & 17
Upper School Theatre Arts students will put on two nights of varied performances, both starting at 8:00 p.m. in the Drama Workshop. On Friday night, students will star in original sketches they have written, based on the improvisation work done in class. On Saturday, students will perform No Show, a one-act play by Alan Haehnel.
Wednesday, November 21–Sunday, November, 25
Just a reminder to all—the School will be closed for the Thanksgiving break!
Friday, November 30, and Saturday, December 1
You won’t want to miss this “double bill” featuring students in the Advanced Theatre Arts and Dance classes. The dancers have created, choreographed, and costumed a story-in-movement to the strains of The Planets, an orchestral suite by British composer Gustav Holst. The theatre students will perform a variety of classic, contemporary, comedic, and dramatic monologues, duologues, “songologues,” and more. The performances start at 8:00 p.m. in Ridgway both nights.
We are hosting two Upper School Visiting Weekends before the end of this year—and there’s still time to sign up for the one in December. If you know of any students in grades 8–11 who’d like to experience how it feels to study, live, and grow at Principia, make sure to point them toward www.principiaschool.org/visit.
