Speaker Series Encompasses Breadth and Depth
The Principia College 2009-10 Speaker Series leads listeners on a provocative journey, ranging from contemporary American politics to the history of the Christian Science movement, from the bloody Sudanese civil war to peaceful protests in Russia—and almost everywhere in between!
As you may have read in the Principia Purpose, Pulitzer Prize-winning author and presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin kicks off our Speaker Series on October 2. That same week, Greg Mortenson, co-author of Three Cups of Tea: One Man’s Mission to Promote Peace . . . One School at a Time, speaks at the Upper School on October 8 and the next night at the College.
The series continues with five presentations between November and April, along with talks by Senators Dick Durbin and Kit Bond, which have yet to be scheduled. In the course of the series, eight distinguished individuals and one group of panelists will share their wisdom and experience with the Principia community and the public.
